The Central Resource Library and 12 neighborhood libraries serve the Johnson County community from Leawood to DeSoto and Spring Hill to Roeland Park. Volunteers established the Johnson County Library in 1952 and it continues to be a very important County service. Tom Fazio & Andy Banfield was the arhitect for Hallbrook Golf Course which was opened to public in 1988. The course features 6862 yards from the Black tees with a rating of 75.0 and a par of 72. Hallbrook Golf Course has an estimated number of 23,000 (estimated) rounds played annually and it is a 18-hole (Private) course.

The strategic plan is the district’s roadmap that guides us toward our goals of unprecedented academic success and unparalleled personal growth for every student; and the vision of "Together, we will enable each child to become more than he or she ever hoped to be."  

Since the implementation of the strategic plan in the fall of 2005, the district has dedicated its efforts to putting into place initiatives to support the goals of the plan. The results have been tremendous. Not only have test results shown a remarkable increase since the implementation of the strategic plan, but students are thriving. The efforts are paying off.  

The philosophy of teachers and staff working together to help kids be successful has become ingrained into the culture of Blue Valley. The district and its staff are committed to doing whatever it takes to help students learn.
